Dear Friends,
As the days grow darker and the weather turns cooler, we are anticipating the winter holidays and the Festival of Lights: Chanukah will soon be upon us! This year, we need the light of those candles more than ever. Each candle illuminates the blessings we cherish today: health, family, friends, community, and the traditions we hold so dear. My favorite childhood memory of Chanukah was cooking side by side with my Grandma Anna as she lovingly grated potatoes into a bowl for the delicious latkes she was famous for! I’m including the recipe here so you can try it out at home!
I’m excited to join with Rabbi Disick and the TRT family for our Night of ZOOMING Menorahs on Friday, December 11th, the second Night of Chanukah! Grab your favorite menorah to join our zooming tapers, voices and spirits together to celebrate the festival of freedom.
May we, in our own time, work for a day when all people will live in freedom: Not By Might and Not By Power, but by our spirit shall we all live in peace. Kein Y’hi Ratzon! May it be so.
Wishing you all a healthy and happy holiday and Chanukah Season.
