Bolender Leadership Development Fund
The Bolender Leadership Development Fund is used to encourage and develop Jewish leadership at TRT by providing financial subsidies to lay leaders for attendance at leadership development programs. This fund is in memory and in honor of those who perished in or survived the Holocaust.
College Outreach Fund
The College Outreach Fund provides funding for projects that enable TRT to maintain contact with our college students and help keep them connected to TRT and Reform Judaism.
Edna Coleman Israel Scholarship Fund
The Edna Coleman Israel Scholarship Fund provides a financial contribution to students in the confirmation program or who have been confirmed (through the summer after 12th grade) who are participating in an approved youth trip to Israel. This fund is named in memory of Edna Coleman, R.J.E., who guided TRT’s religious school through its first 25 years.
The General Fund is used to provide financial assistance to Temple Rodeph Torah wherever it is needed.
Helena Project Fund
The Helena Project Fund is used to support congregants by providing meals to families who are experiencing difficult times. This fund is named in memory of Helena Heitt, a TRT congregant, who passed away after a long battle with breast cancer.
Herzog Music Fund
The Herzog Music Fund provides financial assistance for the musical needs of the congregation. The fund helps purchase music for the Cantor, the music teacher and the choir, scripts and supplies for the Purim Schpiel, and also provides funds for the repair of musical instruments used by the congregation. This fund is named in honor of Richard Herzog, who served as TRT’s High Holiday and Shabbat volunteer cantorial soloist for many years.
Hirsch-Rosen Memorial Youth Fund
The Hirsch-Rosen Memorial Youth Fund provides financial support for programs and activities for TRT’s youth groups. It also provides need-based financial assistance to members of the congregation who attend URJ and NFTY youth programs, events and summer camps. This fund is named in memory of Marni Hirsch, a 9 year old member of the congregation, who passed away after a bicycle accident, and in honor of Robert Rosen, one of the first teachers in TRT’s religious school, who died in an automobile accident.
Men’s Club Tribute Fund
The Men’s Club Tribute Fund is used to further the work of the Men’s Club.
Mortgage Reduction Fund
The Mortgage Reduction Fund is used to help pay down the principal and interest on TRT’s mortgage.
Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund
The Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund is confidentially maintained by the Rabbi and is used at the Rabbi’s discretion to assist individuals, families and causes where support is deemed necessary and appropriate.
Rabbis Weber and Stern Educational Fund
The Rabbis Weber and Stern Educational Fund is used to support the educational programs at TRT for the benefit of our children. The fund is named in honor of our first full-time rabbi, Rabbi Emeritus Donald Weber, and our retired Associate Rabbi and Educator, Rabbi Shira Stern.
Rock Shabbat Music Fund
The Rock Shabbat Music Fund is used to provide financial support for TRT’s Rock Shabbat programs.
Sisterhood Tribute Fund
The Sisterhood Tribute Fund is used to further the work of Sisterhood and to help Sisterhood provide support for TRT’s youth, education and other programs and projects that benefit the congregation.
Social Action Fund
The Social Action Fund supports TRT’s commitment to Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and subsidizes programs and activities that advance the mission of Tikkun Olam. The fund is also used to support organizations that advance social justice.
Spiritual Enhancement Fund
The Spiritual Enhancement Fund is used to provide resources for new and experimental services, programs and items devoted to spiritual expression. Donations will also cover prayer book dedications ($54 minimum is required to have a personalized bookplate label included inside a book).
Temple Improvement and Beautification Fund
The Temple Improvement and Beautification Fund provides financial support for maintenance, construction and beautification projects for the temple building and grounds.
Willner/Weinstein Educational Endowment Fund
The Willner/Weinstein Educational Endowment Fund was created in recognition of the importance of education to the future of the Jewish people. The fund is used for non-budgeted Religious School projects that have been approved by the Educational Director and the Education Committee. The fund was created by Marc and Shelley Willner in memory of their fathers, Abraham Weinstein and Norman Willner.
