High Holiday Prayer Book Options

Our 5781 (2020) online High Holiday services rely on attendees having access to our High Holiday prayer books.  This page describes the options available for attendees to obtain physical or electronic copies of the prayer books.

Options 1: Pick Up and Return Physical Books (TRT Members only)

TRT members can pick up physical books from the temple at the following times:

  • Sunday, Sept 13, 10am-12pm
  • Tuesday, Sept 15, 5pm-6:30 pm
  • Thursday, Sept 17, 4pm-6pm

Books must be returned at the location and times below.  Books that are not returned by Oct 1, 2020 will result in a $50 fee being charged to the member.

  • Book Return Location: Geri and Mike Kaplan’s house (table will be set up in front of their garage) 6 Country Club Lane Marlboro
  • Tues. Sept. 29 from 1pm-4pm
  • Wed. Sept 30  from 10am-1pm
  • Thurs. Oct 1 from 5pm-8pm

Members must fill out and sign this book pickup form and hand in a printed, signed copy when picking up the book.   Members must fill out and complete this return book form when returning the books.

Note that there are two separate books to be picked up and returned.  Members may pick up multiple copies so that all service participants can have a book.

Note that these are the same books that were used for the Adult Ed class 2015-2016.

Option 2: Purchase the physical books

Physical books can be purchased from the CCAR or via Amazon.  Note that these are the same books that were used for the Adult Ed class 2015-2016.

Option 3: Use a tablet or PC to view the Kindle versions

The Kindle versions of the prayer books work well with tablets, on a Windows PC or on a Mac.  They do not work on dedicated Kindle devices.  They are available from Amazon for $19.99

Option 4: Free online flipbook copies

A flipbook presents a copy of the prayer book in a web browser, and pages “flip” as you move from page to page.  You can directly enter a particular page number, and the image will skip to that page.  The publisher (CCAR) has made copies of our High Holiday prayer books available for free at these links:

Rosh Hashanah Prayer Book

Yom Kippur Prayer Book

The books can also be accessed directly by entering the following addresses in to your browser:

Rosh Hashanah Prayer Book – trt.org/rhbook

Yom Kippur Prayer Book – trt.org/ykbook

If using a flipbook, this diagram shows how you can skip directly to a particular page.
