Children are always welcome at TRT – at every event and every service! But young children have their own schedule and their own interests, so we created a whole calendar just for them. Summer Service at Lake Topanemus – Friday, July 22, 2016 (rain date July 29) at 6:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs or blankets, bring dinner or dessert and join us for an early evening service to welcome Shabbat in the park.

Tot Shabbat – The 2nd Saturday of every month from October through June. 9:15-10:15 a.m. Bring your littlest ones (ages 0-5 years) to play, sing, read a story, and do a craft. Wear comfy clothes. Challah and juice will be shared. Free and open to the public. NOTE: the September 2016 Tot Shabbat will be on 9/17.

Hi! Holidays September 10, 2016, 9:15-10:15 a.m. A special program for children in Grades K-2, including story time with a PJ Library book and a parent/child activity to prepare for the High Holidays. Open to everyone.

K-2 Center for a Jewish Future; meets every Sunday to introduce children to Jewish life and practice. Open to non-members. Contact our Educator, David Gronlund-Jacob, at 732-308-3836 for more information.

Children’s Services on Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur – 40-minute services on the afternoon of each holiday, geared to the 2-7 year old crowd. Open to everyone, at the Marlboro High School.

Tashlich on Rosh Hashana – Join us at Lake Topanemus in Freehold as we “cast our sins into the water.” Children are welcome to use the playground before or after this 15-minute service, and many families bring their dogs, too. October 3rd at 4pm; rain date October 4th.

Tot Rock Shabbat – January 14, 2017, 9:15 a.m., with Guest Artist Sam Levine. Rock Shabbat is a special experience for everybody, so now our youngest people can join the fun. Songs and prayers for the Tot Shabbat group and their families, in cooperation with the PJ Library. Bring your friends!

Morning Rock Shabbat Services – Saturday, November 19, 2016 and Saturday, March 25, 2017, both at 10 a.m.; children are always welcome at our Rock Shabbat services, but Friday evenings may be too late for youngsters. Come to our Saturday morning services and stay as long as your children are comfortable!

Purim Carnival! – Sunday, March 12, 2017, 12:30-3 p.m. Bring the kids for games, food, a bounce-house and great music for Purim. Costumes are welcome! Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.

Blessing of the Animals – Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. Bring your child(ren) and pets (live or stuffed) for a beautiful service thanking God for our loving companions. Snacks for people and pets following the service. (Rain Date May 20.)
