In my opinion, part of Judaism is trying to make the world a better place. Everyone can do little things in their daily life to improve the world we live in. “Tikkun Olam” means “repairing the world.” I hope that every day people will come together and help out in their communities and help each other as well.  Although I know our world will never be perfect, at least trying to make it that way can make the world a better place to live in.

. One way I feel the world could be better is if more people participated and cared about the environment and “going green.”  For example, in my house, we recycle, buy products labeled as “biodegradable” and try to conserve water and energy as much as possible.
Another way the world could be a better place is if countries had less war and conflict.  The threat of terrorism would end and everyone would be able to live and travel safely.  Many countries also are very poor, and rely on the United States for help.   In a perfect world, these countries would have better access to food, water and supplies.
Moreover, repairing the world really starts from within yourself and how you treat others.  If there were no more hatred, bias, and discrimination, it would be a good start to a near perfect world.
